Stay Alive Veterans
ABOUT US
WE KNOW VETERANS, BECAUSE WE ARE VETERANS.
Stay Alive Veterans (SAV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting the veteran community by addressing the pressing issue of veteran suicide. Run by veterans for veterans, SAV is uniquely positioned to understand and respond to the complex challenges that veterans face after their service. The organization is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that every veteran has access to the resources they need to lead fulfilling lives after their military careers.

SAV focuses on connecting veterans with essential resources that address mental health, occupational therapy, and recreational therapy needs. Recognizing that the transition from military to civilian life can be overwhelming, SAV offers a lifeline to veterans who may feel isolated or struggling with mental health challenges. By facilitating access to mental health care, the organization aims to combat the feelings of hopelessness and despair that can contribute to the alarming rates of suicide among veterans.
In addition to mental health services, SAV places a strong emphasis on occupational and recreational therapy. These programs help veterans find purpose and community, whether through meaningful work or engaging in activities that foster a sense of belonging and joy. The organization believes that by supporting veterans holistically—addressing both their mental and physical well-being—they can help prevent the tragic loss of life within the veteran community. SAV’s mission is not only to save lives but to help veterans thrive in their post-service lives, providing them with the tools and support they need to stay alive and find renewed purpose.
